The DRIFTCON® RF system is a construction in which the thermistors are positioned in a holder, which has PCR plate dimensions. This "plate" also contains all processing electronics, calibration values, power cells, as well as RF communication electronics. While cycling, all temperature values are transmitted to the supplied RF USB dongle connected to the computer. Usage of the system is monitored by means of software and the DRIFTCON® RF intelligent hardware. DRIFTCON® and DRIFTCON® RF test results are analyzed and reported through an automated process, thereby minimizing user input interventions and prohibiting any alteration of the acquired sample data. The DRIFTCON flexible probe set for SmartCycler 16 x 0.25µl is now available (March 1st). It has 16 separate temperature sensors mounted inside original SmartCycler reaction vessels. DRIFTCON performs a quick and easy temperature validation of all 16 reaction sites simultaneously. Any temperature related performance issue can be detected in a matter of minutes. The Flexible Probe Set for SmartCycler can be used with existing DRIFTCON hardware and is recognized seamlessly by the new DRIFTCON V1.1.3 software. The Flexible Probe Set for SmartCycler conforms to the New York State regulations. The SmartCyler flexible probe set is also available for the MTAS service.

The DRIFTCON Probe Fixture 16-6 All-well, for 96 x 0.2ml block formats is now officially available (June 1st). It has 16 probe positions, and performs a quick and easy validation of all 96 wells of any regular 96-well PCR block in the market. The Probe Fixture 16-6 All-well can be connected and is recognized seamlessly by the DRIFTCON software. The Probe Fixture 16-6 All-well conforms to the New York State regulations.

Temperature Performance and Drift Monitoring System for Thermal Cyclers

The CYCLERtest multi channel temperature acquisition system, designed for dynamic temperature performance monitoring and validation testing of thermal cyclers, is also available for sublicensing by the services departments of large companies and institutes. In this way they can validate all thermal cyclers in their institute themselves.
